Sprinters Sports Club trains athletes for all track and field events such as 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters, 10000 meters, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, etc. Training for marathon runners is also conducted.


The training is conducted in 4 phases.

Phase 1: 1 June to 31 August

Phase 2: 1 September to 30 November

Phase 3: 1 December to 28 Feb

Phase 4: 1 March to 31 May


Training Schedule:

For athletes between the age of 6 to 18: Monday, Wednesday,Friday: 5:15-6:45pm at University Pavilion, Marine Lines.
Coaching Fee for 1/2/3 sessions per week is ₹2000/4000/5000 per month. Additionally, you have to pay a ground fee of ₹1534 which is valid for 6 months.

For athletes above 18 years : Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 6 am to 7:30 am at University Sports Pavilion. Coaching Fee for upto 3 sessions per week is ₹3000 per month. Additionally, you have to pay a ground fee of ₹1534 which is valid for 6 months.

For athletes participating at State/National/International levels : Monday to Saturday from 6 am to 7:30 am at University Sports Pavilion

Sprinters Sports Club conducts dry land training for swimmers. This specialized training conducted outside the swimming pool improves the agility, muscular endurance and muscular strength of swimmers which in turn improves their performance in the pool. There are more than 100 swimmers who have benefited from this programme and have won at national and participated at international levels. We conduct this programme in association with various swimming clubs like Otters Club, Ozone Club, etc

The training is conducted in 4 phases.

Phase 4: 1 March to 31 May

Different sports involve different sets of body muscles and employ different movements. Improving physical and motor fitness components enhances the performance in the particular sports. Our coaching team understands the requirement of the sport and customizes a training scheme to enhance the abilities of the players.

The physical tests required for police/defence recruitment need rigorous and regular training. Sprinters Sports Club trains candidates for these physical tests. Some of our athletes have also been selected for the National Defence Academy.

The training programme starts in June and is conducted till the physical tests.

General fitness programmes are conducted for general public to maintain proper fitness. These programmes consist of fun drills and are scheduled to suit the participant’s availability..
